A sunny unscheduled afternoon. I’m ready to read.

I relish the luxury of a sunny Sunday afternoon curled up in a comfy chair, catching up with the periodicals I’ve allowed to stack up. We’ve been so busy that it’s become quite a large backlog even after I declared Economist bankcruptcy and recycled all but this week’s issue. Today is perfect for indulging in stacks of magazines. The Boy is off at his writing group. Sunbeams streaming through the upstairs windows create wonderful light for reading and have a tractorbeam-esque effect on the cats. They’re trapped in their sunny warm tower, and will hopefully leave me alone for a few blissful hours of page-turning and contemplation. Now to brew a pot of tea and settle in.
