Golden years.

I was down in the basement yesterday, looking for my old “high school memory book”. You know, those things that filled up with quotes and pictures and such during your senior year. You don’t? Well, so I tried to be all high-schooly at least ONCE before I left. At any rate, I was specifically looking for a picture of senior homecoming.

Yeah, that’s us with a piece of scotch tape across our heads. The guy on the right of me is Iggy. The guy on the left of me is Jeffrey. Here’s another (slightly crappy scan) picture of Jeffrey:

We dated our senior year. We weren’t ever really serious, but I was (and still am, I suppose) fond of him. Funny that, since I’ve discovered in a roundabout way that he’s moved to SF and is now running a tranny makeover service. That was Jeffrey then, this is Jeffrey now:

Picture stolen from the website. If she asks, I’ll take it down, but I don’t think she’ll mind. Good for her, is what I say! Jeffrey always did look better in my lipstick than I did.

So why am I even posting about this? Funny that — it has nothing to do with ex’s or lipstick, but with something I found on one of the “about me” pages that’s supposed to make you feel all nostalgic these 15 years later.

Huh… it seems I’ve actually accomplished something I wanted to do in HS. Actually, I’ve accomplished a lot of things I wanted to back then, many of which I never thought were even remotely possible. So, no regrets.
