Blah blah blah…

Okay, a few things of interest (to me, at any rate). I did some “stash enhancement” last weekend at Article Pract and managed to essentially blow much of my play budget… but look at what I got here. In titanium, grenadine, and noisette. The gold one is knitting up nicely into a skinny scarf for a Christmas present. I also got some sock yarn, which looks like this:

The problem? I’ve never knitted in the round before. Ever. Nothing. And though I tried a few times with this on Sunday, there was no love for me on this one. I need to try with something fatter first — not on 2’s. Though, based on Miss Karrie’s latest post, maybe she’d be willing to help me figure out the error of my ways? Guess I’ll find out tonight… and I’ll take the sock yarn, the teeny dpns, and some bulker practice needles/yarn. Just in case.

And while I’m here and procrastinating, just what am I working on right now? I have the skinny gold scarf, the very end of Shirley’s birthday present wrap, some denim baby booties that I’m waiting for a package from my sister to complete… long story on that one… my cardigan that now has a back and two sleeves but no fronts. I also have stash for my Audrey, two more skinny glitter scarves (if I decide to go that way with the Crystal FX), and the sock yarn. And dishcloth yarn. Two or three balls of cotton yarn floating around for those. OH, and a little ball of pretty bluish baby cashmerino in case I decide to make the simple garter stitch booties again. I have leftovers galore from other baby booties made in the last year… maybe I need to make some striped booties to use them up?
