This brings me to something else that's been on my mind. We've been mulling over whether or not to (ever, not RIGHT now), buy a home in the Bay Area or maybe move to Seattle. By the end of the year, I hope we'll have a better idea of what we want to do over the long term. Do we want to really REALLY commit to CA for another decade? How much of a lifestyle hit am I willing to take to be able to own a place? We'll make a decision by the end of the year. It takes me a long time to make a decision, after all. :-)

GAAAAAAH. Dammit. My sewing machine just came back from a tune-up a few months ago, and now, after a few seams, it's not working. I'm crazy annoyed. I think it might be time for me to get at least a serger, but do I want to make that level of commitment? I dunno...

Mama got an awesome serger that is *self-threading* (which is about the best thing in the world). Lemme know if you want more info -- I'm sure she could impart her wisdom about it in an email or something. :-)

No, I'm not going to talk about work. On the incredibly teeny chance that's why you bother to slog through my rare posts about knitting, go ahead and unsub now.
Now that that's out of the way, I'm back on my 80% finished Bombshell sweater. Why oh why did I ever put it down? The color is beautiful, and Cash Iroha is buttery and wonderful to work with. I'm sure the sleeves will still annoy me when I slog through them, though.

Greenie is done! I'm not sure what I'm going to work on next. Maybe I'll finish up that green silk sweater that's been hibernating for months.
