New haul of fancy string today. To mitigate the growing stash, I picked out some yarn to send to Sarah today. Mostly lovely things I just don't think I'll ever use or remnants from socks I've made in the past. Because she's making things for her kids, hopefully they can be of some use to her. I also added in a tshirt that I bought her awhile ago.

But onto the new yarns. I got some Louet Fingering Weight for the bmp socks. I'm going to use my new Lorna's Laces Shepherd Sock in Irving Park to make Pomatomus socks, and the Miss Priss will become a Mr. Greenjeans. Busy busy busy. General Bonkers would be horrified.

Diets are overrated. Take yarn diets for example... I get the concept, but I just can't stick to them. Like at all. Got a shipment from Blue Moon today, from my feverish "OMG RAVEN" ordering last week. Absolutely gorgeous. Thraven for a sweater, plus Rook-y, Backstabber, and Pond Scum for socks. The colors are, of course, wonderfully rich. I'm delighted.

I both love and hate November, because it's NaNoWriMo. It's great because Stephen gets really motivated and productive in his work. He's always working, but during NaNoWriMo he just hunkers down and pushes through in a more focused way. And of course, when he's more productive he's happier... well, he's always happy, but he's even happier when his work is productive. So, I love that part. On the other hand, it means I have to put aside my selfish "Wah! I want my boy time!" which of course I hate to do because I'm high maintenance. I love to see him happily working away more than I want "boy time" though, and it's only for November...

This week... finally over. Whew. It's been a roller coaster, and I'm wiped out.
I'm about 75% through the orange gloves, and then I think I'll probably pick up the arm warmers again. I ordered way too much from Blue Moon on Monday, but that Raven group is just... wonderful. I love it so much. So I got a few skeins of lightweight, plus enough heavyweight to make a fitted sweater. Couldn't help myself.

Uh-oh. I am in love. Maybe too much love. Blue Moon's Raven colorways are out.

One down, one to go. These are such a quick knit, I like that part. I'm not sure I especially like the interplay of the cables and the ribbing. I think I prefer the single cables on a cleaner background.
