Lame. This is a totally lame bug. It has annoyed me muchly.

All moved in, sorta. At least, we're all moved out, and all of our things are here at the new place. I was kinda "meh" about it at first, but I like it here more and more. First, no crazy traffic just running to the grocery. Second, excellent bathtub. No jets, but nice and big. Third, better broadband access here. We get 3x the speeds we got in EC. Uh, let's round this out to five. Fourth, quiet (except the planes, which to me really aren't annoying at all). Fifth, the house is set up so that the back doors/windows/patio are fairly private. There. That's five.

We're right next to a golf course. Maybe that'll bring Jim and Beth out to visit. :-)

We're moving. Today. Skein Lane is closing this week. So many changes! The Skein Lane closing does make me glad we grabbed back the shawl when we did, though. Stephen's taking on the brunt of moving pain, of course, but UGH my back is killing me today! Packing sucks. I don't know if I'll make it to knitting tomorrow. I'm going to try to, but we'll see how the move goes today. I did enjoy the pix of Debbie from AX, though! And just to scar anyone who happens upon this... Be afraid. Courtesy of Cat Rambo.

Wow, that's a poingy kind of post, now that I reread it.

The Godforsaken Island it is. We're moving in a few weeks. I'll miss that house in EC, but not taking the train might make up for that.

Did you buy a house on the GFI? You must bring pictures tuesday.

Alas, we are not purchasing a house on the GFI. Just renting. Still, it's not a shabby house... just not as "us" as the one we're in now. Ah, well. We'll have to host another knitting brunch when we get settled in!

Ten years. TEN. Yowza. Let's see, that's four residences, three cats, several jobs, one cross-country move, and four cars. One writers camp, one published story, a few NaNoWriMos. More computers than I can count. Happy times, sad times, scared times. All I can hope for is more times with my loving boy.

Am I an optimist or a pessimist? I'm not sure. Lots of changes again. This year has had lots of changes so far. I'm freaking tired of it. Tired of changes. Let's have things settle down a bit, shall we?
Change number one - we're definitely kicked out of the house. Did I mention that here already? If not, it's official. We're looking for a new place to live. Maybe the godforsaken island? Stay tuned for more infrequent updates.
Change number two - Stephen is leaving the furniture business to go back to writing fulltime. Well, writing and girl maintenance. I'm very high maintenance, you know.
He's also going to take care of all of the crap that you have to deal with when you move, so I can concentrate on work. Work is a bit stressful, but not in a bad way. Pretty typical for me, actually. I keep taking on until I'm gonna pop... and then I think I've finally learned how to throttle back from that edge once I find it. I hope I have, anyway.
I'm also looking forward to Stephen having time to write again.
