So all those things I think when I'm drunk are true!
Yes, except the Dave Matthews Band does not rock.
Name that quote!

I actually teared up listening to Bob Edwards do his last show this morning. During the Osgood interview, specifically -- "You are the alpha and omega."
Mornings just won't be the same without Bob.

What's wrong with your lip?

I may have to bust my ass every night this week... But I will be taking those days off when Molly gets in town!

In for gmail - that's me. I can't help myself. God knows I really don't need another email address, but what the hell...

GAWD! Why do I even bother reading that guy's blog? It just annoys me.

I guess I read it to remind myself what I chose not to become. And to feel all smug and self-righteous. Heh.

ALSO... MoMo did some spying for me and found out that Doreen did in fact have a hell of a time getting anyone to take her seriously when she was certain there was something wrong in her boob. So that reinforces the case that I need someone else to check my films. <sigh> I guess I'll do that in a few weeks. I can't think about it right now. I'll put it in iCal to remind me to do that in May.

I could say something about work... But it's stressful enough without discussing it here. So I'll just say this:
I like to write in pencil. REAL pencil -- wooden that you have to sharpen. I don't even use the electric pencil sharpener. I have a little manual one in my desk drawer, along with about six pencils that are about three inches long with completely unused erasers. Apparently, I like to write with pencils so much that I choose to eschew erasing mistakes for crossing them out. You'd think that I'd erase them with the handy eraser, but no, not me. Too easy. I'd rather cross them out.
Weird. I need to decide what to do with those stubby pencils at some point.

If you have some time to waste... Check out the Subservient Chicken. Flash movies have gone too far.

Also, I'm glad I didn't say anything to Doreen... Because she called me this morning to tell me that she's been in the hospital (ICU) for the last week! Her blood pressure dropped to nothing, high fever, the works. I felt so SO bad....

Unofficial David Bowie Day! Email received from a coworker:
Today at work several folks of my age overheard a conversation between two of our youngest employees (it was confirmed later that they were born AFTER Star Wars was released: '77).

The conversation went something like this:

Youthful employee 1: Have you ever heard of David Bowie?

Group of 30 somethings in unison: WHAT?!

[grooming myself for old age I had to ask the person next to me "what did she say?"]

30 something 1: Did you just ask if he had ever heard of David Bowie?

Youthful employee 2: Yeah. *laughs*

30 somethings: *jaws drop*

30 something 1: What did you say?

Youthful employee 2: No. *laughs*

30 somethings break rank in mixed wonder and horror, one falling, literally off her chair, all of us realizing we were just barely grasping onto our youth.

30 something 2: We just aged a decade...

So, today, I officially decree it the Unofficial David Bowie Day! Crank up your iTunes, set your company juke box, play David loud and proud!

A little later...

I suped-up iTunes with Changesbowie and had youthful employee 2 listen to a few tunes, which he did not recognize. Just now though he came over to say he recognized Changes, and upon reflection said it was because it was in a Microsoft commercial, which is also how he knows a few Hendrix toons.
