UGH. Apparently, pink is THE color of the season. Good thing I'm going blue in a few weeks. <grin>
In other news, I have put off the Self Challenge start date until tomorrow. When I will start. Oh, yes I will. I've been dutifully keeping a notebook with me so that my food log will be accurate for the last week. I have considered when is the best time for me to work out (probably between 4 and 6 PM). I have everything I need in order.
And now I'm going to do it.

WAY TO GO, DALLAS! I am shocked and amazed that Dallas passed a resolution denouncing the Patriot Act.

Just in a nick of time. A bonus. So now I can pay taxes. Thank $DEITY.

How can you have this much rain and zero lightning? It's unnatural, I tell you.

Oh, thank you TMF poster... It's a pay-for board, so I can't link. But I can quote:
I am getting an ass-whipping that you can't believe regarding this flick. And it will only get worse. My wife has hinted several times that she would like to see the movie..... and really, I don't want to be the sourpuss that stops her. She puts up with all of my sci-fi/fantasy crap and is really a good sport about it. However, I've never went and watched Star Wars and left the theater motivated to teach folks about the dark side of 'THE FORCE'. After all its just a movie. Right?

Bless him!

And another thing, while I'm here. I'm going to do the Self Challenge this year. Starting yesterday. And I will actually finish it so help me $DEITY. I have got to. I must lose a few pounds -- not a TON, but a few -- because my jeans are tight again and I just refuse outright to buy any new ones. Not for awhile. And certainly not bigger ones. I'm fed up (or is that overfed?). I will finish that damn Self Challenge. And, just to make defeat even more ignominious, I will say this: Today, I weigh 212 pounds. My jeans are a size 16. And they're tight. Not to the point of a camel-toe, but they weren't a breeze to put on this morning. I've had enough of it. This is the beginning of a change, and that change starts with completing the Self Challenge.

I can do this.

I can do this.

BWAHH!!! I love those blogger stats. I learn so much for them. Such as, if you Google for the phrase "I am completely apathetic", you get a link to Molly's blog. At least the Hitler underwear fetish hits have gone away since I changed the name.

An afternoon at home plus Shiner in the fridge... Not that I'm drinking any Shiner yet, mind you. I'm just glad to have found it at the BevMo. Actually, I just have a lot I need to get done -- projects need a-mappin' out. And it's easier to do that here... even when you account for cats.

So help me... There's this guy in my class. I swear he was raised by squirrels. Heh-heh. He's one of those people who thinks that just because he doesn't fathom why something is useful, it must therefore not serve any real purpose. He's driving me crazy! Only seven more weeks...

It's going to be a good week. Busy, but good. I have decreed it!

I am an airhead. I lost my tea this morning. Looked all over for it. Turns out, I left it in the office supply cabinet. DOH!

Finally got my wrist worked on, instead of just ineffectually examined. The hand specialist I went to (Dr. Masem in Oakland, if you're looking for a hand specialist in the East Bay) was amazing. His office was very very busy, and there was a fairly long wait for my first appointment, but those who were getting follow-ups seemed to move through more quickly. Maybe there was some sort of emergency back there or something. At any rate, the good news is that I definitely don't have arthritis, or it would have shown on the x-rays. Further good news is that a cortisone shot will probably take the pain away, even though the cyst is still there. OUCH! I've had cramps that were almost as bad as that shot, but it was nowhere near as bad as getting that ankle tattoo. It evens out. I have to wear a brace for three weeks, then go back for a checkup in six weeks. If the cyst is still acting up, then comes the mixed news -- surgery. Yuck! I've already had surgery on my hand in 1996! The good side of that is that "they've come a long way, baby" in ganglion cyst surgeries in that time. Instead of a new, fabulous, honking-big scar to go with my current one, they go in from UNDER the wrist using small, ~1cm, incisions. Then, they arthroscopically clean up both the cyst and the weakened ligament coating that causes the cysts in the first place. THEN, they also clean up the scar tissue from my last surgery. There will be physical therapy after that if I need to go the surgical route, which I hopefully will be able to avoid.
And that's the update. For now.

I am equally tired of my blog template. I'll change it soon. At least the colorscheme. Blah!

I'm tired of getting hits from people looking for Hitler's underwear fetishes. New name starts now.
